A cut stone, held in a setting. The glass is shaped into an irregular faceted form — not a smooth teardrop, but angular planes that meet at uneven edges, like a gem that has been cleaved rather than moulded. It hangs inside an open gold ring that frames it the way a claw setting frames a stone in a ring.

The setting is the reason this reads as jewelry rather than as a light. The gold frame does nothing optically; it exists purely to hold the glass in space and draw an outline around it. Nothing touches the glass except at the top, so the gem appears suspended in an empty geometric outline.

What the facets do

• Every plane catches light differently. With the bulb inside, each facet takes on its own brightness — some panels glow, others stay dark — so the shade has depth instead of reading as one flat lit surface.
• Tinted glass, not painted. The color runs through the glass itself, so it holds its tone in daylight and colors the light when lit.

Two glass colors

Smoked grey is the cooler, more architectural option: nearly charcoal when unlit, and it throws a soft neutral light that suits grey, black, and marble interiors. Amber is warm honey glass that stays richly colored in daylight and casts distinctly golden light — the choice against wood, brass, and warm paint. The gold frame is the same on both.

Is the glass tinted or painted?

Tinted. The color is in the glass itself rather than applied to the surface, so it will not wear or scratch off, and it colors the light passing through it.

Is it dimmable?

The fixture runs on a common wall switch and has no built-in dimming, so it depends on the bulb. A dimmable G9 LED on a compatible wall dimmer will dim, and dimming suits this fixture — low light makes the individual facets stand out.

Can I hang several in a row?

Yes, and it is the best use of this size. Over an island, space them 20 to 26 inches apart on centre. In a stairwell, hang three at staggered heights. Each pendant needs its own ceiling outlet unless you mount them from a shared linear canopy.

How long is the cord?

150 cm / 59 inches, which suits standard 8 to 10 foot ceilings and can be shortened at installation. Longer cord is available on request for vaulted or double-height ceilings — contact us before ordering.

Can it be used in a bathroom or outdoors?

It is rated for indoor use only and is not damp- or wet-rated. It suits a powder room, but should not be installed above a shower or tub, or in any outdoor location.

Will it work outside the United States?

Yes. It accepts AC 110-240 V and carries certification compatible with North America, Europe, Saudi Arabia, and Australia. G9 bulbs are available for both 120 V and 230 V supply.
